Federal Aid Project Information for Connecticut Local Agencies

The Connecticut Division of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), in partnership with the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CT DOT) and the University of Connecticut (UCONN), has developed this website to provide local public agencies with helpful resources to better understand the Federal-Aid Highway Program as it relates to transportation initiatives.

Today, transportation agencies are required to find better, faster and smarter ways of doing business while ensuring a strong, safe infrastructure that serves the public interest.

Hugh Hayward, from the CT DOT Local Roads Unit, provides you with a brief video introduction on locally administered projects.

With nearly every Federal Highway Administration program, a local agency's initial contact should be made with their Regional Planning Organization (RPO). This step is very important in the planning process.

Please Note:

Resources will be updated to comply with MAP-21 as information becomes available
